Attractions in Newark
The Newark Museum is full of interesting exhibits that will keep the whole family enthralled. Native American history, beadwork, and costumes are on display along with Buddhist artifacts blessed by the Dali Lama. A science room and planetarium are also included within the museum building.
Branch Brook Park is a popular place to walk, jog and cycle as the space is huge and beautiful. In the springtime, the cherry trees blossom - a sight that attracts visitors far and wide. On the edge of the park is the grand building of Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The towers stand over 70 meters tall, and the architecture is outstanding.
The Prudential Centre is a large arena where ice hockey games take place as the home of the New Jersey Devils. Live music and special events also happen at this exciting venue.

Dining - With a diverse cultural mix of people in Newark, there are lots of different cuisines on offer in the town. Shopping - There are a few smaller shops in Newark selling specialty gifts and everyday items. There is an outlet mall, The Mills at Jersey Gardens nearby if you like to grab a bargain. With 5th Avenue, Macy’s and Bloomingdales just 20 miles away in Manhattan, shopping for luxury clothing, jewelry and footwear is easy to do.
