Gulf Air (GF) Cheapest Flight Deals

“Gulf Air,” doesn’t that sound refreshing? Gulf Air is headquartered in Muharraq, Bahrain at the Bahrain International Airport. They are owned by the Government of Bahrain and were originally called the Gulf Aviation upon their founding in 1950 by a British pilot/entrepreneur named Freddie Bosworth. This makes Gulf Air one of the oldest operating carriers in the Middle East. In 1983-84 they tipped their hat to their British roots and were the first ever jersey sponsors of Chelsea F.C. They’re also big fans of Formula One, as they’ve been sponsors of the Bahrain Grand Prix for a while now.

Gulf Air flies to multiple destinations in Africa, Europe, Far East (Bangkok and Manila), GCC, the Indian Subcontinent and MENA. You can find out about specific cities within these areas that they fly to on their destinations page. Chances are, you’ll add some more places to your bucket list with some of the names: try to impress your friends at dinner with saying, “I think I’ll book a flight to Thiruvananthapuram on Gulf Air tonight.” Try it.

They are not a part of any alliances, but they do have a frequent flyer program called Falconflyer. You can compares fares for Gulf Air flights now with FareCompare.
