Deals from Las Vegas to London

British Airways has just announced a special roundtrip fare for its new non-stop service from Las Vegas to London, for $249 one-way - but you have to add on the taxes and fees which brings the roundtrip total to the mid-$600’s.

Still a good deal - but you must purchase by Oct. 29.

Fall in the Northern Hemisphere officially starts today at 4:18 central standard time. You might feel blindsided, but there’s no one to blame, really — it’s an arbitrary date, and the definition of “fall” climate-wise varies by region anyway.

For many destinations this side of the equator, though, “fall” is synonymous with “low season,” which is music to the ears of the cheapskate jetsetter.

The leaves may change colors, the wind gets a bit more brisk and the town square may get a bit lonely, but the dedicated miser does not let such trifles get in the way of their saving cash. Low season travel is a consistent talking point from travel gurus, but which areas should you set your sights on and what should you expect when you’re there?

British Airways has launched deals on flights from a range of U.S. departure cities to nine of their European destinations including London, Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris.

You can find flights for as low as $221+ each-way for travel between Oct. 22, 2009 and March 28, 2010 (Dec. 21 - 23, 2009 excluded). You can also combine your flight with a hotel stay to add to the savings. You can find airfare/hotel packages for as low as $575+ per/person (based on double occupancy) from Nov. 3, 2009 - March 28, 2010 (excludes Dec 21 - 23, 2009).
