Their “Howl-o-ween” airfare sale features cheap flights for October 31 between Denver and cities across the country. United Airlines launched their Canada Fall Foliage airfare sale, and it lasts until October 9th. Southwest Airlines kicked off a winter airfare sale that features deals to destinations across the U.S. Find airfare between $59+ each-way and $149+ each-way for travel all the way through February 11, 2010 (14-day advance purchase is required). Before holiday travelers get too excited, though, the airline is quick to point out that “Seats are very limited and won’t be available on some flights between November 24 - December 1, and December 17 - January 3, 2010, especially to popular destinations like Florida and Las Vegas.”

Southwest announced a Fall/Winter Sale, and many of the others quickly joined in. The lower prices affect both large and smaller cities: New York and Midland-Odessa, Philadelphia and Boise - and many points in between.
