AirTran urges you to “book a little R&R now!” with their latest airfare sale. You’ll find cheap flights (some as low as $39+ each-way) to a range of domestic and international destinations. The best deals are good for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays through February 10, 2010. A 14-day advance purchase is required, and not surprisingly, there are blackout dates around the holidays.

Southwest Airlines announced that they could kickoff as many as 10 daily departures from Milwaukee when they launch their services out of General Mitchell International Airport this November. The move to Milwaukee will put Southwest in direct competition with AirTran and Midwest Airlines. This doesn’t seem to be lost on AirTran, as the carrier just announced that it will launch new routes from Milwaukee. Competition is usually a good thing for travelers, and AirTran’s new routes already feature introductory deals. We can only hope that we’ll see even more of the same when Southwest heads to Brewers country. Check out these current Milwaukee summer deals, and keep a look out for more to come:
