The Weekend Airfare War Continues

Over on Twitter, our CEO Rick Seaney has been keeping track of the little weekend airfare chess match that’s been going on between some of the major airlines. Things got started last night when American Airlines, Delta Air Lines/Northwest Airlines, and United Airlines all fired out cheap weekend flights targeted at Continental Airlines’ hubs. Of course, Continental struck back today, dropping prices on even more flights for this weekend and next weekend. So, what does all of this mean? Well, when the airlines go after each other it usually means cheaper airfare for travelers.
