What they don’t tell you is the fuel surcharge nearly doubles the price. I checked Los Angeles to Paris, France, and the flight was $585 and the fuel surcharge was $400!

My son just booked with British Airways LAX to Newcastle, UK with a return from London to LAX. We looked extensively at all options including student travel websites. All pricey. Agree with Tina, all the really cheap flights had astronimcal taxes etc. At least with BA for $1049 return, there were no baggage fees…… a big factor to watch out for, especially for students who are likely to return from vacation ‘flat ‘broke’! This was easily the cheapest for over the Christmas period and not bad for a an 18 day stay.
