Southwest Airlines’ latest airfare sale offers cheap flights to cities throughout the country. Short-hops and flights half-way across the country are on sale for travel from August 12th through October 31st.

You’ll find airfare for as low as $40+ R/T, but you have to fly on a Tuesday or Wednesday to take advantage of the best deals. Here are a few of the stipulations for Southwest Airlines’ latest airfare sale:

• Available only on southwest.com.
• 21-day advance purchase required.
• Purchase July 22 through July 24, 2008 midnight Central Time.
• Travel August 12 through October 31, 2008.
• Travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday only. Sale fares may be higher on other days of the week depending on destination and length of trip.
• Blackout dates: August 28 - September 2 and October 9 - October 13, 2008.
