UPDATE 6PM EASTERN: United Spokesperson Robin Urbanski has said that the carrier is working with their distribution systems for United.com (which includes Travelport and ITA) to reinstate the fuel surcharges as quickly as possible. The surcharge could be reinstated within the next hour or two.
In what seems to be a mistake in airfare filing, United Airlines has rolled back their fuel surcharge (the majority of those surcharges tacked on an extra $130 to the price of an airline ticket) in close to 28,000 markets. If this is a mistake, it will most likely be corrected at 8:00 PM tonight, so there’s not much time to take advantage. Check out RickSeaney.com for more details. |
