I visited Iceland for the first time back in October and it was one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen. The Blue Lagoon is definitely something to go to and just driving around and seeing the landscape is breathtaking. I must warn that Iceland is very expensive — a beer there costs around 10 USD or more. I got away with a relatively cheap vacation there because I stayed with a friend and ate most meals at their house. But aside from that I would still highly recommend a visit there.
