Now, we’re not ones to advocate missing out on a day of higher learning, but we feel it’s our duty to point out that you can save money by flying back home from Spring Break on a Monday instead of a Sunday. Keep reading to see great Spring Break deals, and to find out how an extra day off can help you keep a little extra cash in your wallet… |
Let’s say you’ve braved the cold Cleveland winter and you’re ready to hit Daytona Beach for a bit of fun, sun, etc. Here’s what you would most likely pay (if you book right now) for a Sunday return:

If you fly back on Monday, you’ll save some money:

Here’s an example for those of you who want nothing more than to get out of Florida for Spring Break. Spirit Airlines is offering airfares as low as $200 (including taxes and fees) from Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan, Puerto Rico for dates throughout March. The deal will get you a five night stay, but there are no Sunday returns.
Again, we would never suggest that skipping school is a good idea. However, if you’re looking to save some money on airfare, who are we to judge?
For those of you not in school, just avoid Sunday returns over your “Break,” and you should be able to save without angering any professors.
