Late Saturday Evening the 5:00pm EST airfare distribution was relatively quiet as it was apparent that the airfare analysts are the airlines set their systems on cruise control and tool a long weekend — but of course there is aways some activity. Sun Country Airlines (based in Minneapolis) filed a $98 roundtrip airfare sale between Minneapolis and 16 destinations — AirTran with new walkup (0-day advance purchase) off-peak holiday specials — otherwise relatively light activity — rundown follows: |

AirTran Airways |
- AirTran Airways filed a several dozen new off-peak holiday airfares with savings of up to $600 off the normal walk-up prices (a flexible procrastinators delight). The cheapest in the list was Baltimore to Milwaukee for $112+ rt.

Continental Airlines |
- Continental Airlines dropped several dozen off-peak holiday airfares to Canada from some off the beaten path cities including Dallas/Ft. Worth, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers, Las Vegas, San Diego and Tampa.

- Frontier Airlines pushed up the price of some of it’s off-peak holiday airfares by an average of $111 roundtrip, staying at equilibrium with it’s competitors.

- Northwest Airlines filed hundreds of new off-peak holiday airfares (walkup and 7-day advance purchase).
